Im buying a tractor trailor.?

Looking to spend about $50,000 on a cab w/ sleeper, I’ve been driving for 7 years but know want to become a O/O.
Im going to see if i can check out a few companies i can contract w/ before i make the purchase to haul trash to landfills.
(If you know any companies i should check out in MD. & Va. area it would be very helpful).
I need to know what specs i should look for in a tractor that would be helpfull in the trash hauling industry. For ex. what should look for as far as ratio, axle weight ect. I dont even know what that stuff means. (Please explain)
Any tips that could help me in that industry would be great.
