any ideas for building a simple electric car?

I have to build an electric car for school and i was wondering if anyone has any ideas for helping me to make it better
I am given two motors two switches and some wire
The car has to complete a short sprint, a “tractor pulling” competition, a slalom, and sort of a sumo wrestling battle.
I am not allowed to have any sort of stored energy besides the provided battery and motors (no loaded springs or extra motors)
right now i have a small three wheel design, two front wheels (each with its own motor and switch) and a trailing wheel. for steering i have rigged the switches so that i can make each of the front wheels go forward, backward, or stop independently
If anyone knows of anyway to get more power from my motor or if any other tips for how i can improve performance in any of the competitions please let me know

You’ll be at a disadvantage for the tractor pulling, as most the weight will be in the front (and motors tend to be heavy w/ all the coiled wire & magnets). But the front-weight should help in the slalom.

You could rig some sort of transmission with transfer of power between asymmetric gears, enabling the motors to generate more power with less work on their part. I think that’ll be a tradeoff too though, between things like the sprint / slalom and the pull / sumo.
