Why did my lawn tractor just die on me?

The key was in forward mode and I accidentally reversed (not sure what the moron who invented this double feature was thinking) and the engine died down and now it won’t start up. Help me. Please. How do I resurrect this piece of garbage lawn tractor mower? Thank you.

1. Make sure your mower blades are stopped.
2. Make sure it is not in gear
3. make sure you have the brake on
4. try to start it again.,..

Mostly likely you have the same type as me.. with a special settign for only forward or back and forward mowing…
If it is in only forward.. it will dy yes.. and you will need to stop and reset the whole darn thing as I said above.. Always fixes mine…
