dual stage craftsman lawn tractor snowblower attachment?
I’m look at getting a craftsman lawn tractor with a dual stage snowblower attachment. I’m wondering whats the difference between the dual stage and the 1 and 2 stage attachments.

A two-stage snow-blower has an auger blade that spins to scoop the snow in and another blade in the chute to help propel the snow out. A single stage blower relies on the one auger blade to spin fast enough to scoop in the snow and also propel it out the chute…not always the best for wet, heavy snow or deep snow. I keep an 8 HP MTD 26 inch two-stage unit for the deep or heavy stuff and a Toro S200 paddle type single stage unit for the lighter stuff. That little Toro is great for the most part but anything over 8 inches takes too long….so I drag out the beast. Last winter was enough reason to keep it for a while. I usually wind up doing 3 or 4 neighbors as well.
